Where to Buy Vintage Wholesale Clothing in the UK for Reselling

by Vintagegarms4u on Sep 05, 2026
VG4U UK vintage wholesale clothing supplier stock warehouse

If you are building a resale business in the UK, the supplier you choose can matter as much as the platform you sell on. The goal is not simply to buy the cheapest possible stock. You want stock you can understand, photograph, list and price with enough room for your own selling costs and profit.

What to look for in a UK vintage clothing supplier

Start with four basics: clear grading, clear bundle size, transparent pricing and real stock imagery. Vintage is naturally variable, so a good reseller should know whether a bundle is mixed, seasonal or category-specific before buying.

It also helps to work backwards from cost per piece. A £65 ten-piece box works out at £6.50 per garment, while a £120 twenty-piece box works out at £6 per garment. That makes it easier to estimate the resale price you would need after marketplace fees, packaging and any unsold stock.

Check whether the photos are exact or representative

This matters with vintage wholesale. A mixed reseller box is not the same as choosing ten individual garments. Ask whether the photographs show the exact items, a representative selection, or examples of the general stock type. A transparent supplier should make that distinction clear instead of allowing buyers to assume every box contains the same brands or pieces.

VG4U uses real stock imagery and states when images are representative. Exact garments, brands, sizes, colours and styles can vary unless the individual product page says otherwise.

Grade A/B stock explained

Grading varies between suppliers, so always read the individual seller's description. In general, Grade A stock is expected to be in stronger resale condition, while Grade B can include more visible signs of age or wear. Mixed Grade A/B bundles are common in vintage wholesale because every garment is pre-owned and unique.

For a more detailed explanation, read our Grade A vs Grade B vintage guide.

Check dispatch and delivery before you order

Fast stock only helps your business if it actually leaves the supplier quickly. Look for a clear dispatch aim, current delivery prices and a working contact route. VG4U currently focuses on UK orders, offers free UK Standard Delivery and £6.99 UK Express Delivery, and aims to dispatch paid orders by the next working day wherever order timing and operations allow.

See our UK Shipping & Returns page for the current information.

Choose stock for the platform you actually sell on

Vinted and Depop buyers often respond well to distinctive branded, seasonal or statement pieces. eBay can suit a wider mix, while live selling rewards visually strong stock that can be shown quickly on camera. Your best supplier is therefore one whose bundles match the way you plan to sell.

If Vinted is your main platform, see our Vinted Reseller Stock UK page.

Start smaller, then scale what works

For a new reseller, a smaller bundle can be useful because it lets you test photography, pricing, listing speed and sell-through without committing too much cash. Once you know what moves for your audience, you can move into larger boxes or more specific categories.

VG4U currently offers UK reseller bundles including mixed vintage, summer stock and statement knitwear. You can browse the current vintage reseller bundles here. If you want a lower-MOQ starting point, see our small vintage wholesale bundles UK page.

Keep your buying decisions commercial

Do not assume every garment will sell for the same amount or in the same time. Track your average selling price, time to sell, fees, postage materials and how many pieces remain unsold. That data will tell you whether a particular type of wholesale bundle is worth repeating.

Questions to ask before buying

  • Is the stock pre-owned, new or mixed?
  • What does the supplier mean by Grade A, Grade B or mixed Grade A/B?
  • Are images exact or representative?
  • Are brands, sizes or categories guaranteed?
  • What is the cost per piece?
  • Where is the stock held?
  • What are the current delivery charges and dispatch aims?
  • What happens if an order is materially not as described?

Our Vintage Wholesale & Reseller FAQ answers these questions for the current VG4U range.

The simplest rule is this: buy stock you can clearly understand and calculate before you place the order. That is more useful than chasing a low headline price with no idea what arrives.
