Vintage Reseller Bundles vs Kilo Wholesale: Which Is Better?

by Vintagegarms4u on Sep 06, 2026
20 piece vintage reseller bundle for UK wholesale sourcing

UK vintage resellers often come across two common ways to buy stock: piece-count reseller bundles and kilo wholesale. Neither format is automatically better. The right choice depends on how much control you want over your stock budget, how you process inventory and how comfortable you are estimating the number of garments you will receive.

What is a piece-count vintage reseller bundle?

A piece-count bundle tells you the number of garments before you order. A 10-piece box contains 10 pieces and a 20-piece box contains 20 pieces, subject to the exact product terms. This makes the cost per piece easy to calculate before checkout.

For example, the current VG4U 10-piece mixed vintage bundle is £65, or £6.50 per piece. The current 20-piece mixed bundle is £120, or £6 per piece.

What is kilo wholesale?

Kilo wholesale is sold by weight rather than by a fixed number of garments. The number of pieces can therefore vary depending on what is in the mix. Lightweight shirts and tops can produce more pieces per kilo than heavy jackets or thick knitwear.

Why beginners may prefer a fixed piece count

A fixed piece count can make cash planning simpler. You know how many items need to be photographed and listed, and you can calculate your stock cost per item immediately. That can be useful when you are learning your average selling price and your real sell-through rate.

Why experienced resellers may use kilo stock

Kilo sourcing can suit businesses that already understand the categories they buy and are comfortable handling variation in garment weight and piece count. It can also work well when the supplier lets buyers handpick or when the reseller is buying larger quantities for a specific workflow.

Questions to ask whichever format you choose

  • What grading is used?
  • Are the photos exact stock or representative examples?
  • Are brands, sizes or categories guaranteed?
  • Where is the stock held?
  • What delivery and return terms apply?
  • Can you calculate a realistic landed cost per item?

Vintage grading is not universal between suppliers. Our current reseller boxes are described as mixed Grade A/B stock. Learn more in our UK grading guide.

Which format is better for Vinted sellers?

For a seller who wants predictable listing volume, a fixed piece-count box can be easier to plan around. If you know you have time to photograph 10 items this week, a 10-piece box is easier to schedule than a weight-based order where the final number of garments depends on the mix.

Bottom line

Choose the format that gives you the clearest view of your actual economics. If you care most about knowing the exact number of units and cost per piece before ordering, piece-count reseller bundles are straightforward. If you already understand weight-based sourcing and category variation, kilo wholesale can be another option to compare.
